Back in my Old Home Town!

Just got back from Santa Barbara with my friend Nancy. Weather was gorgious and we just relaxed, ate good food, read, shopped and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If you haven't been to Santa Barbara, I highly recommend it. We found a pretty reasonable hotel and I would be happy to share that info with you. Our small hotel was across the street from the beach. I like this "being retired" status, even if it is temporary!

I am staying in Sebastopol with my sweet friend Teddy. We are quite happy in her small trailer...cooking, talking, watching the political scene. We saw a great movie last night...it was called Towelhead and we strongly recommend it if you are looking for a movie that really makes you think. Toni Collette is in it and she is one of my favorites. The other actors were superb and the young woman is well worth the price of admission. We have also been going to yoga and the gym. Sebastopol is where I used to live (before I moved to San Francisco) and I love it here.

I leave for NYC on October 10th for a week. Going to stay with an old high school friend who has invited me to his 50th high school reunion inBrooklyn. I will be staying with Larry and his wife Rose for a week and then heading off to Cleveland to visit my sister, niece Jennifer and grandniece Sophie for 2 weeks (not to mention my beloved Chloe who doesn't seem to be missing me at all).

Hope you are all doing well and having a good Fall. Love, auntie M
